About the Aquila 45 Sport
The Aquila 45 Sport is an all-new open power catamaran aimed primarily at day entertaining, watersports and short weekend use. Its double-stepped hulls and outboard layout separate it from Aquila’s cruising yachts and sailing cats. Buyers should distinguish the published standard configuration and options from the equipment fitted to a completed boat advertised for sale.
Overnight accommodation is deliberately compact: a single lockable cabin contains a king-sized bed, storage and a skylight, while the private wet head includes a shower and electric toilet. The cockpit does most of the work during the day, with convertible U-shaped seating, adjustable tables and storage below the cushions. A wet bar supports serving, while bow seating offers a quieter second social area.
At the helm, a broad row of four adjustable seats faces integrated navigation, digital switching, joystick and engine controls beneath the hardtop. The aft cockpit can be ordered with hydraulic fold-down side terraces, so listings should not imply they are standard. Standard propulsion is a pair of Mercury Verado V12 600 HP outboards; an advanced lithium package and extended aft shade are also optional.
For shoppers comparing actual inventory, the Aquila 35 Sport has a similarly compact single cabin and head, but lower-output standard outboards and a different folding-bulwark deck arrangement. The 45’s larger entertaining areas, broader helm seating and available hydraulic terraces favour buyers hosting bigger day groups. CatamaranWorld recommends matching each listing’s build sheet and photographs against the model guide, especially for terraces, lithium power and aft shade.
