About the Aquila 45 Sail
The Aquila 45 Sail is a current sailing catamaran and a separate model from the similarly named 45 Sport power catamaran. CatamaranWorld buyers should also distinguish photographs of the present model from rendered interior illustrations, particularly when judging finishes or ordering a boat that has not yet been completed.
Accommodation is offered in three-cabin or four-cabin main layouts, with private companionways and an ensuite head with walk-in shower for each cabin. The owner-oriented arrangement gives more hull space to the principal suite, while the additional-cabin plan may better suit charter or larger-group use. An optional forepeak crew berth is separate from the owner and guest cabin count.
A standard flybridge places a two-person helm beside social seating, with routes to the solid forward cockpit and aft entertaining area. Sail handling combines a standard pin-top mainsail with a tracked furling genoa; a square-top mainsail is optional rather than standard. Propulsion is by twin Volvo Penta 50 HP saildrives, while the galley’s opening bar helps connect the saloon with cockpit dining.
Against the Aquila 50 Sail, the 45 has a narrower accommodation choice: the larger model adds a utility room and a broader range of cabin plans. That makes the 45 relevant when simpler private-owner or charter layouts are sufficient. In actual listings, compare completed-boat records for the selected layout, forepeak berth, sail upgrade and propulsion package; proposed builds and renderings should not be treated as delivered inventory.
