50M Sunreef Explorer

About the 50M Sunreef Explorer

The 50M Sunreef Explorer is an announced power-catamaran expedition design intended to combine long-stay cruising with substantial carrying capacity. Its 14.3 m reference beam supports a broad platform for guest areas, stores and expedition equipment, but buyers should treat the model as a planned, customisable design whose final configuration will depend on the build specification.

Accommodation can be tailored for up to 12 guests, with custom staterooms and shared areas shaped around the owner’s cruising programme. Allocating space to a private spa or gym increases personal retreat options, while an outdoor cinema or bar favours group use; each choice competes with cabins, circulation, storage and operational spaces, so privacy should be planned alongside social capacity.

At the helm, the decisive questions will be sightlines, watchkeeping ergonomics and integration with the deck plan rather than a published performance target. The broad aft deck is conceived for launching and handling tenders and dinghies, while dedicated stowage can support dive compressors, e-bikes and e-foils. Electric propulsion forms part of the concept, with machinery details left to the proposed specification.

A central purchase decision is whether to prioritise guest accommodation or expedition payload, because toy launching, provisioning and waste-management spaces all influence the cabin and crew layout. Ask CatamaranWorld for the proposed build specification, then check equipment access, service clearances, tender-handling paths and the electric-propulsion package against the intended cruising programme before agreeing the general arrangement.
