40M Sunreef Explorer Eco

About the 40M Sunreef Explorer Eco

The 40M Sunreef Explorer Eco is an announced, planned electric expedition power-catamaran rather than a delivered series yacht. Its 40 m length and 11.20 m beam frame a design purpose centred on extended voyaging, substantial expedition stowage and broad indoor-outdoor living, with buyers expected to shape the final arrangement around how they travel.

Accommodation is planned around a custom owner’s suite with a private terrace and separate guest cabins, while cinema, spa, library or gym spaces may be specified. Choosing more private retreats can reduce flexible social or storage areas, so the general arrangement should be tested against guest routines, quiet-time needs and the volume of voyage equipment carried.

Operationally, the helm layout should support clear circulation between watchkeeping and deck activity, an important detail to resolve during specification. A walkaround aft Ocean Lounge is intended to organise toy, dive and tender storage, while the full-beam aft cockpit is planned with a spa pool; propulsion combines electric motors, batteries and solar generation with diesel range extenders.

A key purchase decision is whether to preserve the Ocean Lounge for expedition equipment or trade some adaptable volume for a gym, cinema or other owner-selected amenity. Ask CatamaranWorld for the latest proposed general arrangement and equipment schedule, then check tender handling, service access, battery placement, energy demand and privacy routes against the contract specification before committing.
