Dusky Marine

For over 50 years, Dusky Marine has been custom building center console and cuddy cabin offshore fishing boats along with inshore bay and flats boats from their facility in Dania Beach, Florida. Since 1967, this family-owned business has maintained an enduring partnership in both family values and boat-building craftsmanship, creating a legacy that spans generations of satisfied boat owners and skippers around the world.

Every Dusky hull is individually produced with more hand-laid fiberglass than any other boat in its class, a distinction that speaks to their commitment to structural integrity and long-term durability. Their extensive boat options list allows customers to customize vessels to exact specifications, whether they need a tournament-ready rig, a functional bluewater fishing machine, or a practical walkaround cabin boat. The company's lineup spans from compact 16-foot models to their flagship 33-foot vessels, with open models, cabin configurations, flats and bay boats, and their specialized XF and Tournament series.

Dusky Marine operates on a factory-direct sales model, eliminating dealer markups and creating a unique one-on-one relationship between builder and client. This approach means customers get more boat for their investment while working directly with the craftsmen who will build their vessel. The factory accommodates a wide variety of powerplants from Suzuki and Mercury, with inboard diesels available on their 252, 278, and 33 boat models. Each build reflects decades of refinement in hull design, with features like stepped V hulls and hard chine lines that deliver high riding, dry performance even in challenging offshore conditions.

The company's boat repair and maintenance expertise is evident in every aspect of their construction process, from fiberglass and gelcoat work to marine electrical and electronics integration. Their comprehensive understanding of marine systems extends to everything from engine installation to custom rigging configurations. Dusky Marine has also built specialized commercial vessels for notable organizations including NOAA, Florida Atlantic University research programs, and the Boy Scouts of America's Florida Sea Base, demonstrating their versatility beyond the recreational fishing market.

With a Pro Team of sponsored captains and a dedicated owner community that actively shares their fishing successes, Dusky Marine has cultivated what they describe as an extended family of boat owners. Their commitment to customization extends to marine canvas and upholstery options, deck configurations, and specialized fishing equipment installations. The South Florida location provides ideal access to both offshore Atlantic waters and inshore fisheries, giving the builders firsthand knowledge of the demanding conditions their boats must handle.

As one of the longest-running custom boat manufacturers in the marine industry, Dusky Marine continues to refine their designs while maintaining the hand-crafted quality that established their reputation. Their recent introduction of new models like the 33S demonstrates ongoing innovation in the competitive center console market, while their time-tested hulls remain sought after in the used boat marketplace throughout Florida, the Caribbean, and beyond.
