Accommodating up to 10 guests, NO INHERITANCE offers 5 queen cabins, each with a private ensuite and individual in-cabin sound controls. Wraparound salon windows bring in abundant natural light, and the seamless indoor-outdoor flow connects multiple lounge zones throughout the yacht. Captain: Owen Aschoff Crew: Mia Koch Captain Owen Aschoff and Chef/First Mate Mia Koch bring a lively blend of sailing experience, warm hospitality, and globally inspired cuisine to every charter aboard NO INHERITANCE. Owen’s background in sportfishing, racing, and professional yacht operations pairs naturally with Mia’s creative cooking, thoughtful menus, and love for coastal living. Captain: Owen Aschoff Captain Owen Aschoff Captain Owen grew up in Florida, spending much of his time in and around the water. He often accompanied his parents to Florida BASS Federation tournaments, where they served as Directors, and soon developed a love for offshore sportfishing. Beginning as a mate, he gained valuable hands-on experience before joining the racing crew of a 38-foot Hinckley, where he discovered a lasting passion for sailing. During this time, Owen also worked in the service industry, including bartending, and toured the United States as a drummer for many years. Those experiences eventually brought him to the U.S. Virgin Islands, where his professional boating career truly took off. Owen holds a 100-ton Inland and 50-ton Near Coastal Master Captain’s license. Over the past ten years, he has captained vessels ranging from 35-foot boats to 60-foot catamarans and many others in between. He has also raced aboard Swan 90s and 60-meter Perini Navi yachts in international superyacht regattas, experiences that helped shape his seamanship and yachting career. Chef/First Mate: Mia Koch Chef Mate Mia Koch Chef Mia is passionate about creating food that excites, comforts, and brings people together. Originally from Wellington, South Africa, a small town surrounded by mountains and vineyards, Mia grew up immersed in natural beauty and warm hospitality. Her love for the ocean began during family holidays by the sea and has remained an important part of her life ever since. Mia’s culinary journey has taken her across Asia, where she fell in love with bold flavors, vibrant spices, and the art of using fresh, local ingredients. Her cooking celebrates each ingredient’s character, with a focus on simplicity, balance, and memorable flavor. With experience catering everything from intimate dinner clubs to festive family gatherings, Mia enjoys creating personalized menus that suit both the occasion and the guests. Whether preparing a celebratory dinner or a relaxed lunch on the aft deck, she aims to make every meal feel thoughtful and special. When she is not in the galley, Mia can often be found swimming, snorkeling, or exploring new destinations. Her adventurous spirit and love of global cuisine bring creativity and warmth to every dish, helping make each meal a highlight of the charter experience.
