Click each crew profile to learn more about their background, experience, and personal story. Captain: Nic Dorward Captain Nic Dorward Growing up just outside London, Captain Nik was captivated by the food scene around him. This led him to train as a chef and work in hospitality roles at some of the capital’s most prestigious restaurants and hotels. Nik’s sailing career began in dinghies, first on inland lakes and later along the UK coast. As his passion grew, so did his desire for warmer waters, leading him to Greece and larger yachts. While working throughout Greece and the Mediterranean, he combined his love of hospitality and sailing as both a flotilla skipper and charter skipper, gaining experience across a wide variety of yachts and destinations. More recently, Nik returned to the UK, where he put his experience to work training new sailors and running adventure cruises. Nik has a genuine love for the sea and the unique perspective sailing offers. He is equally at home enjoying water sports, exploring ashore, or seeking out local favorites. Guests can expect him to uncover memorable excursions, hidden bays, and the perfect anchorages for sunset cocktails. Chef/First Mate: Lily Davison Chef Lily Davison Growing up near London, Chef Lily developed an early passion for cooking, inspired by the chefs in her family and by her travels around the world. She later pursued a career as a private yacht chef after completing both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Geographical Sciences and Environmental Policy and Management at the University of Bristol. Lily also spent five years working as a manager at the Wimbledon Tennis Championships, where she developed a strong foundation in hosting, organization, and polished guest service. In the galley, Lily enjoys working with fresh, local ingredients and drawing inspiration from the cultures and destinations around her. Her signature dishes are influenced by travels through Mexico, Italy, and Spain, and she is always open to incorporating distinctive local ingredients into her cooking. Her creative, flexible approach results in menus that continue to evolve while remaining thoughtful, flavorful, and well suited to life on the water.
